    Jon Huntsman Hall

The  8th floor lobby of Huntsman hall on the University of Pennsylvania campus. This area is often used for receptions, so must be kept ship shape at all times. We are occasionally called in to re coat the bamboo flooring here. We recommend premium quality waterbase urethane, due to its fast dry time, low oder, and exceptioal wearability.

    Rosenbach Museum

This antiquarian collection is housed in a restored townhouse on Delancey Street near Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia. Well worth the trip, of particular  interest is the Maurice Sendak room.  We installed quarter sawn White Oak on the first level, most of the hardwood on the upper floors simply required careful restoration. The photos shows the  before and after of the hallway.

    The Liao Collection

These are some photos of the finished product, and the renovation. I don't know the history of the building, other than to say it was some kind of heavy industrial operation, which left an enormous amount of oil, grease and metal shavings pounded into the very interesting end grain floor.

Restaurant and lounge at 6th and Baimbridge. I installed these floors about 15 years ago, they did rquire sanding once due to a wateleak, but otherwise yearly mantainence has kept them sparkling. Also some snapshots of the upstairs under construction.

    St Thomas Monastery

I don't have a whole lot of pictures of this. St Thomas monastery is on the Villanova campus.  There are new tecniques in use today,  but on that day we used the asphalt adhesive  due to the existing residue from the previous floor covering. A year or two later when doing the executive offices of the Philadelphia Insurance companies, in the same circumstances,  a floor did fail, even though the glue manufacturer insisted their material was correct.  A technical mistake in floor installtion can ruin thousands of dollars of materials.
